This interview text for year 6 and P7 explains the work of micro sculptor and honorary doctor Dr Willard Wigan. He uses science to sculpt works of art that are small enough to fit in the eye of a needle! He is autistic and dyslexic. Willard explains that his autism allows him to have great stamina and to control his movements. He gets transfixed by the challenge of manipulating materials into something so small but so detailed. He explains how he works between his heartbeats, makes his own tools and how he accidentally inhaled Alice in Wonderland!
